STEM in Early Childhood is a starting point to learn more about how the content areas of Science, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology (STEM) link with other curriculum areas and programming in early childhood settings.
STEM Education, a term initiated by the National Science Foundation, refers to an educational approach which integrates more than one of these disciplines. Science, technology, engineering, and math may seem like lofty subject matter for preschool children. Preschoolers spontaneously engage in STEM activities indoors and out on a regular basis.
STEM is a way of thinking about how educators at all levels – including parents should be helping students integrate knowledge across disciplines, encouraging them to think in a more connected and holistic way
